Netflix has its fair share of foreign-language misses; most of which, I rage-quit within the first ten minutes. There’s bad dubbing, too-rapid subtitles, cheesiness, and poor production value, with varying combinations of those four main offenses. So when I do stumble upon that odd show that sparks new joy, I have to share it with you geeks. The Hookup Plan, or Plan Coeur, in French, is one such unicorn. Continue reading

Normally, my rating comes at the end of a review. However, Netflix’s new series, Altered Carbon, is so good that I had to begin by telling you just how much I liked it. Now, I’ll break down 8 reasons you should watch this show immediately!

We all know Eleven (El for short) and her wicked mind powers and mysterious connections to the Upside Down. If you’re a Stranger Things nerd like me, on October 27th (and honestly every day until then) you’re finding someway to rep your love of all things strange. My bookshelves have just about every Stranger Things Funko POP and I proudly wear my “Should I stay or should I Eggo?” sweatshirt (complete with several animated eggos, because duh). Until October 27th, here are several Stranger Things items to hold you over or to wear during your next season 1 binge session.
For the cat lovers this poster is purrfectly adorable:

Hey, geeks! You know how much we love our fandoms around here. And while our love spans many film, book, and television series, we can’t cover them all. Sometimes, it’s necessary to bring in friends to help us highlight cool stuff that’s just not on our radar. This Friday marks the Season 2 premier of the Netflix Original Series, Stranger Things. While Jen, Ana, and I don’t watch the show, we do understand that it’s pretty amazing. So we’ve asked our brand new Sister Geek, Taylor, to take over this week and share her obsession for all things STRANGE with you.
When the news came out that Netflix was reviving Gilmore Girls, the news was splashed across my Facebook wall and my Twitter feed, and then my phone blew up with a number of texts.
When the trailer premiered and I watched it on my phone, my computer, and then my Roku, I cried.
When the final scene faded from the screen, my butt was sore from sitting on it for too long and my eyes and heart were aching from the roller coaster ride I had just been treated to finally.
Thank goodness Gilmore Girls is back.
