The title of the first episode of Outlander’s third season, “The Battle Joined”, is a fitting title for this review because, in many senses, it encompasses the theme of the entire season to come. As someone who has read the books multiple times, I know what’s ahead for these characters, but, as a fan of the show, knowing what will happen is not the same as knowing how it will play out on screen. If you wonder why readers want to watch adaptations of their favorite books, what the cast and crew of Outlander put on screen should answer that question for all time. Finally, we know when Droughtlander will come to an end! Season three of the hit Starz drama Outlander will premiere on Sunday, September 10th. The show aired its season finale for season 2 in July 2016. Season three will pick up where that final episode left off, bringing the third book in the Outlander series, Voyager, to viewers worldwide.
Starz’s announcement of a premiere date also came with a poster for the new season as well as a couple of other wee treats.

With that in mind, I am here to declare that I have devoted some of my precious television-watching minutes for a wonderful program that I highly recommend to all of you: The Golden Girls.
For fans of any television show, nothing is worse than that inevitable hiatus between seasons. For some fandoms, like Game of Thrones and now Outlander, that hiatus stretches much longer than we all may like, but that time gives producers and writers the chance to bring something epic and satisfying. With Outlander moving on to the third book in the series, Voyager, this extended break between seasons better brings us all the best damn season ever after Starz’s recent announcement about Claire and Jamie and their story. Though familiar with the novel and its concept during my years studying English, I had never read Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale. When Hulu announced that they would be adapting the dystopian novel into a ten-episode series, I immediately downloaded it to my e-reader and found myself so engrossed in this story that the show’s premiere in April cannot come fast enough.
