Watchmen 2

HBO has done it again! They’ve taken preexisting source material, added a few new ingredients, stirred it a bit, and presented us with a delicious cocktail that goes down smooth and has just the right bit of kick . I’m talking, of course, about the new Watchmen series, based on Alan Moore’s 1986 comic series of the same name. If you haven’t yet experienced this show, you’re missing out, my friend.

Black women have a unique voice in the world of comedy. When I write this, please don’t read subtext. Winter is Here!

Game-of-Thrones

The long night is over for Game of Thrones fans, who had to wait more than 595 days for the return of the series’ final season. On Sunday night, the show returned in all its epic glory and did not disappoint. There were awkward meetings as some characters came together for the first time in the history of the series. There were heartfelt reunions as other characters came back together for the first time in years. There were several key revelations, a couple of good chuckles, one horrifying scare, and a kick-ass dragon ride!

GOT, ssn 8, 1

A whole lot was crammed into a single hour of television. I am not complaining, though. We’ve been waiting two years for this and with only 6 episodes this season, we have no time to waste. The episode was, in my opinion, a terrific start to the final season.

GOT Winter Is Here

If you didn’t get a chance to see it, or are just wondering what all the hype is about, check out the HBO special below, “Inside the Episode” for details and the inside scoop on Season 8, Episode 1. (Watch at your own risk, for the video is dark and full of SPOILERS!)
