One Last Self-Indulgence: SUNDAY FUNDAY

by T. Mack

I’ve used this week’s rotation (Monday’s “Quotable”, Wednesday’s “Geek Chic” and today’s “Sunday Funday”) to indulge in a bit of wallowing over my feelings for ***SPOILER ALERT*** the recent demise of **END ALERT*** “Olicity” on the CW show, Arrow. And I’m sorry about that… sort of. But on the other hand, I’m totally not. Because this is my site and I can geek out about whatever I want… even if it’s the fictional relationship of two people I don’t know that gives me more feels than is reasonable or rational. So with that in mind, here’s my last indulgence: a fan-made video of Olicity looks, smiles, declarations and other special moments set to the soft, sad, beautiful voice of Ed Sheeran.

In case you didn’t know, allow me to inform you that I ship Olicity… hard. After three seasons of dancing around each other, Oliver and Felicity (of the CW show Arrow) finally got it together and actually got together. The current fourth season has been one of ups and downs for the newly formed couple, but they kept things moving forward despite the hiccups. Recently, however, the couple has hit a wall. To be honest, it’s got me a bit in my feelings. The show comes on tonight and I’m not expecting resolution for the current issue. While the MCU has dominated the movie market with the most stellar superhero films since ever, DC has managed to have a terrific presence on network television. Shows like Arrow and The Flash, both on the CW, as well as Supergirl on CBS have been well-received by critics and audiences. DC is working to expand this successful empire by introducing more heroes and setting up spin-offs and companion shows to its established roster. Last night, the Arrow/Flash spin-off, Legends of Tomorrow, premiered on the CW. The show promises a wilder ride than either of its predecessors, but is the energy sustainable?  Continue reading

COMIC CON GOODNESS: ‘Legends of Tomorrow’ Trailer

By T. Mack

The CW panel at SDCC isn’t until tonight. And during it, there will no doubt be more goodness and news to come at us. However, the network didn’t wait to give their awesome new trailer exclusively to the attenders of the con. Yesterday, they released another trailer for the Arrow and The Flash spin-off, Legends of Tomorrow. (While the video didn’t debut at the con, I’m still counting it as Comic Con Goodness because we all know it was specifically timed to coincide with the events this weekend)

The series begins airing mid-season and will likely offer lots and lots of cross-overs with its predecessors. Yay! The new video, called Hero Evolution, is awesome! Check it out below then take to the comments to tell us whether or not you will be watching this new show when it comes to television in 2016.
