Over the weekend a hunk of trailers were released at Comic Con, but you might be surprised which one I’m most excited about.
Pretty cool, but nope, not that one.
DC’s finally getting their act together, but nah, still not the best.
Half the reason I didn’t love the first Kingsman, was the level of violence and the death of a favorite character, but it seems they at least solved one of these problems in the second go around. Plus, ‘Merica gets the Kingsman treatment with some perfectly cast Statesmen.
Getting Warmer! Spielberg’s Ready Player One brings fresh meat to scifi cinema in early 2018, and it’s a retro-futuristic treat I’m really looking forward to. Peep that Delorean and some Iron Giant action!
OH HELL YES. Seems like Stranger Things creators, the Duffer Brothers figured out what worked best for them in season one and doubled down: nostalgia, nostalgia, nostalgia!!! When Thriller started playing, I got chills and my face slowly stretched into a smile that stayed long after the trailer’s end. How is it that Netflix gives better trailer than the Marvel and DC juggernauts? Maybe it has something to do with all the the originality and heart, though some would argue that Marvel still has plenty of the latter. Anyway, I’ll be binging ST the night it airs, while superheroes will be lucky to get me to the theater in the first week.
What are your thoughts? Which was your favorite trailer of the weekend? Let me know in the comments.
