If you want to rewatch season 1 or want to suck your friends into the show, Starz currently has the entire season free to stream on Starz’s website as well as Starz On Demand.
In addition to watching season 1 for free online, you can also see the Outlander cast hit New York City this week. In anticipation of Saturday’s premiere, the cast will make a number of appearances this week, including the Today Show, Live with Kelly & Michael, and the NYC Tartan Parade on Saturday, where Sam Heughan (Jamie Fraser) will be Grand Marshall. Some events will stream online, including the red carpet premiere event on Monday, April 4th.
When we last saw Jamie and Claire, they were speeding off to France after Jamie’s rape and torture at the hands of Black Jack Randall and Claire’s subsequent rescue of Jamie from Wentworth Prison. Now unable to return to Scotland, the two venture to France with the idea of stopping the fomenting Jacobite movement that Claire knows will doom the clans of the Scottish Highlands. In France, they experience the intrigues of the French court while they ingratiate them to the Bonnie Prince Charlie, the son of Scotland’s exiled king James. The season promises to show all of the richness of the French court while tracing the journey of the Jacobite cause from theory to fruition.
Season 2 of Outlander premieres Saturday, April 9th at 9/8 pm on Starz.
