Raise your hand if you have absolutely fallen head-over-heels in love with the most adorable new android in the universe.
Yeah. That’s what I thought. And here’s my problem. I am a die-hard R2D2 fan. He’s the absolute coolest. So I tried to resist the pull of the BB-8’s cuteness. I made it through my first viewing of Star Wars: The Force Awakens and held out. But once I sat through it a second time, I was a goner. He’s just so stinkin’ precious. And hilarious to boot. So I too have become an admirer of the little android who’s taken the world by storm. And now, I want one!
BB-8 is in high demand these days. And there are plenty of ways to get your hands on him. He’s all over clothes, jewelry, housewares and wall art. You can find him all over the net. Just type his name into any search engine and you could shop all day. But I don’t want imagery of the orange and white droid. I actually want a version of him to hold and cuddle (don’t judge me).
Fortunately for me, there is thinkgeek.com. They have just what I’m looking for. This Life Size BB-8 Plush is absolutely perfect for snuggling. I mean, look at it. How can you not want one? You know you do!
Unfortunately, as much as I covet the cuddly droid, the cost of that item ($49.99) is a bit more than I’m able to justify to my husband, who would prefer that I cuddle him. It’s true I’m a fangirl, but I’m a fangirl with a family and a budget!
It’s okay, though. Thinkgeek still has me covered with this scaled-down version of BB-8. Lucky for me, the price tag is scaled-down as well. Woot!
At only $14.99, this guy doesn’t have to sit on my wishlist. He can come right on home to me.
Also, I know what I said about the clothes. But I really want this one shirt. SHINY!
It hits middle ground in price at $24.99. I think I can make that work.
What characters do you keep stuffed versions of at your place? Are you into BB-8 or is he not the droid you’re looking for? Take to the comments and let me know.
